Big Blue Marble partners with HISPlayer for secure, immersive XR video playback

For broadcasters and sports platforms, XR without content protection was never an option – until now.

We’ve partnered with Big Blue Marble to make secure, premium video streaming possible inside immersive XR environments. The goal is simple: allow broadcasters, sports platforms, and content owners to work with real, licensed content in XR. That includes virtual, augmented, and mixed-reality experiences where video is consumed inside interactive 3D environments rather than on a traditional screen.

The partnership brings together Cloud Video Kit for preparing and delivering live and on-demand video, Cloud DRM for securing premium content, and HISPlayer’s XR playback technology, so that existing OTT services can be extended into XR without loosening DRM requirements or rebuilding existing streaming workflows.
