HISPlayer Video Player SDK for Games: Production-Ready Streaming for Unity & Unreal

HISPlayer is a hardware-accelerated Unity and Unreal Engine video player SDK for games and XR apps. It plays local files, HLS, DASH, and WebRTC inside the game engine on Android, iOS, Windows, macOS, UWP, WebGL, Meta Quest, Pico, Galaxy XR, and visionOS. If native players fail on live streams, ABR control, DRM protection, multistream, or headsets, this is the player stack built for that job.

What the Video Player SDK does in a game

Most engines decode a single MP4 well. Games that treat video as a feature need more: adaptive bitrate, live events, 8K, 180/360 stereo, spatial audio, multistream sync, subtitles, offline DRM playback, and licensed content.

HISPlayer is built for that purpose. With HISPlayer Unity and Unreal Player SDKs, you can play high-quality VOD or live into a Render Texture, material, Raw Image, or XR surface. Supported paths include H.264 and HEVC, up to 8K on capable devices, AES-128 HLS, custom HTTP headers, Widevine DRM on Android and Quest-class headsets, OpenXR apps, Ambisonics and Dolby audio, MV-HEVC on Quest, and Unity Render Streaming.

End-to-end: HISPlayer Video Hosting

The video player is only half of the production. HISPlayer Video Hosting is the other half: upload a video file (or import from Vimeo/Drive), transcode to HLS/DASH (up to 8K), and copy the URL into the SDK.

HISPlayer’s end-to-end video streaming solution for in-game video includes: upload → host → play in-engine. It cuts the usual pile of MediaConvert jobs and origin buckets. For cinematics, live-ops, and in-world screens, it saves encoding time, CDN glue, and QA.
